“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror, I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

~Eleanor Roosevelt, You Learn by Living: Eleven Keys for a More Fulfilling Life

Individual counseling: is an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Individual counseling can help you deal with personal struggles including: self esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, marriage/relationship struggles, parenting stress, school issues, life transitions and anger/grief processing. Individual counseling is a collaborative effort between the therapist and client. The therapist helps you identify goals and work alongside you to help you achieve those goals. The process of individual therapy provides a safe and compassionate environment during the therapeutic process.

Couples Counseling: premarital or marriage counseling with a strength-based approach aided with Imago/Gottman techniques. Marriage is a beautiful expression of our need to love and be loved just as we are. Marriage is also very challenging at times. In couples counseling, we will look at what works in your relationship and continue to strengthen this connection. Later, we will focus on the relationship's negative patterns and learn new healthy patterns to incorporate in the relationship. If you are committed to the process and willing to be vulnerable and accountable as a partner and individual, couples counseling can be successful. The fee for an initial consultation for couples therapy is $200.00 and $175.00 for each additional session. I do not accept insurance for couples therapy-couples therapy is private pay only.

Family counseling is sought due to life changes or stress which negatively affects areas of family closeness and family structure. Sometimes it is best to see an entire family together, kid/teen only, parent only, or parent and teen.  Common issues addressed in family counseling are concerns around parenting, sibling conflict, life transitions, or overwhelming stress from external issues. Family therapy relies on a systemic perspective, which enacts healthy boundaries, rules, and develops healthy patterns within the family system. Identifying behaviors and introducing new healthier systemic patterns can cause lasting positive change and emotional connectedness for the family as a whole. The fee for an initial consultation for family therapy is $200.00 and $175.00 for each additional session. I do not accept insurance for family therapy-family therapy is private pay only.
